Confirmation
Confirmation is the Sacrament in which one is enriched by the gift of the Holy Spirit and bound more perfectly to the Church. It strengthens us and obliges us to be witnesses to Christ by word and deed and to spread and defend the faith. It is the Sacrament in which one enters into full membership in the Catholic Church.
Preparation for Confirmation
Our Lady of Peace Parish offers a two-year preparation for Confirmation including faith formation and sacramental catechesis. They begin the process as freshmen in 9th grade and receive Confirmation at the end of their sophomore year in 10th grade.
Our Candidates for Confirmation attend large-group teachings and small group sessions Sunday nights, at least one Confirmation retreat, and take part in service opportunities in their church and community as a part of this preparation.

Requirements for being a Sponsor/Godparent
- I am at least 16 years of age
- I have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation
- I am a practicing Catholic who regularly attends Mass on the weekend and receives the Sacraments
- If I am married, my marriage has been celebrated or sanctioned by the Catholic Church
